Confirmation

“For I know well the plans I have in mind for you—oracle of the LORD—plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope.”

JEREMIAH 29:11

The normal age to receive the sacrament of Confirmation in our diocese for those who were baptized as infants is 8th or 9th grade, and in our parish it is normally celebrated in the spring of a child’s 8th grade year. All youth are expected to participate in a two-year Sacramental Program to prepare for this reception.

Adults are normally expected to participate in an abridged form of the R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) program in order to prepare them for the reception of the sacrament. Please contact Fr. Bill to inquire about receiving this sacrament.
