Testimonials

Jennifer Grossman, St. Mary’s Catholic School Parent and St. Patrick/St. Anthony Parishioner

“We chose St. Mary’s School because it has a reputation of producing exceptional students and leaders.  A friend, who is a teacher at a local public high school, told us he can tell which of his students graduated from St. Mary’s.  He said they are more eloquent, more focused, and usually the top performers in his classes.  We also liked the small class sizes, and attention each child gets from their teachers and classroom aides.  Furthermore, we felt it was very important for our children’s education to include Jesus at the center of all that they are learning.”

Julie Andree, St. Mary's Catholic School Parent and Public School Teacher

“With my husband and I both being teachers, we value education a great deal and St. Mary’s academics are top notch! However, even more importantly we value our morals and Catholic faith. Being a part of St. Mary’s school allows our children to build a strong moral compass while being encouraged to reach their full potential in the classroom. We are fortunate to be a part of a very special community at St. Mary’s.”

“We decided to take our children out of an excellent public school, and enroll them at St. Mary’s. It has been one of the best decisions we have made for our children, and the St. Mary’s community has eagerly welcomed us as a family. Our children are receiving a foundation of faith in a loving, Catholic atmosphere and an education that goes above and beyond. We have witnessed our children growing in their academic skills, their love and faith in God, their affection for the Holy Catholic Church and respect toward others. We can’t think of a better way to prepare our children for their journey ahead.”

“St. Mary’s Catholic school taught our children the importance of a Catholic Christian education by praying daily intentions, saying grace before eating lunch, praying spontaneously when emergency vehicles drove past the school or when there was an urgent need to pray. The faculty and staff were great role models who demonstrated respect at all times. Academically, my children were challenged which provided them with critical thinking skills that helped them in high school and college. St. Mary’s will always hold a special place in our hearts.”

Mary LaGuire, St. Mary's Catholic School Parent

"With the school year coming to an end, we have almost completed our 3rd year at St. Mary’s School.  St. Mary’s is my first experience with Catholic education. I am a cradle Catholic and my husband is nondenominational and no one in our families, including us, went to Catholic school. We moved here from out of state, and for the first year here, our kids went to a public school.  After attending mass for a few months at St. Mary’s, we began to hear more and more about the school and decided to look into it.  It was a tough decision to put our kids in a new school yet again but the benefits of smaller class sizes and a better education triumphed.  Little did I know that the faith-based education would be one thing I love the most from St. Mary’s.  Not only has faith grown in my children, but it has strengthened in my husband and myself as well.  As for the education, I am astonished at what my 2nd and 5th graders are learning in literature, art, and science  that I never did at their age in public school.  I know St. Mary’s is laying the bricks to the path of my children’s future in education, faith, family, and values. The entire staff is wonderful and talented and we are blessed that we are gifted with their talents in educating and spending time with our children every day. With both my husband and myself working outside the home, I also value and appreciate other gifts St. Mary’s offers such as their Extension program, extracurricular activities, and parent community."

“St. Mary’s School is much, much more than just an excellent academic institution.  It is unique in that the teachings of Jesus Christ fully entwine with everything we do....every subject, every lesson, every project, every decision, and every problem we solve.  St. Mary’s Cyclones succeed in school and stewardship - and, most importantly, they remember to give all the glory to God.”
