Are you ready to hit the links for a good cause? Join us for the 19th Annual Tri-Cities Golf Classic Scramble on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the Spring Lake Country Club.

This isn’t just any golf tournament – it’s a chance to support St. Mary’s School and make a difference in our community. Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, we raised about $33,000 at our 18th Annual golf event, providing scholarships to 22 families and 37 children in the 23-24 school year through our Tuition Assistance Fund. The need is great, so let’s keep that momentum going!

Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just looking for a fun day out, we’ve got options for everyone.

  • Come out as a single player, and we’ll connect you to a team, or grab your own foursome for some friendly competition. SOLD OUT FOR 2024!
  • Not into golf? No problem! Join us at 6 pm for the casual evening dinner and awards reception, and check-out our SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES!
  • And don’t forget about our NEW Golf Raffle – you could win cash and cool prizes!
Raffle tickets are $10 each, or grab a deal with 3 for $25 or all 6 for $50 – Available in the school office.

Please share this opportunity with your friends and family, and if you sell a winning ticket, the seller will also win some cool golf outing swag! (Sold tickets can be returned to the church or school offices)
Thank you for considering this invitation and for your ongoing support of St. Mary’s School and Catholic education in our community.

Sincerely,

Ryan Butler

St. Mary’s School Endowment Fund

Thank you for YOUR generosity!

During Catholic Schools Week, Father Bill Vander Werff announced that a generous and anonymous donor offered a $50,000 challenge gift to our school’s endowment from January through June 1, 2024. This opportunity invited the community to participate in this challenge, and we raised a total of $65,815.07, including the challenge gift. THANK YOU to all who participated toward our goal to ensure that Catholic education will be financially sustainable and affordable into the future.

St. Mary’s School endowment was started in 1992 by Rev. Anthony Vainavicz (Father Tony) and managed by the Catholic Foundation.

St. Mary’s School Endowment was started in 1992 by Reverend Anthony Vainavicz (Fr. Tony) to ensure that Catholic education at St. Mary’s School would be financially sustainable and affordable into the future.

In partnership with the Catholic Foundation of West Michigan, we are modeling a culture of Catholic stewardship by honoring the legacy of past St. Mary’s leaders. Each year, the school uses the endowment distribution to support innovative projects that enhance the pursuit of our mission.

Your contribution will allow us to continue to be inspired, rooted, and excellent in all we do, ensuring a lasting impact on the lives of students receiving Catholic education at St. Mary’s School for years to come.

We ask for your continued prayers for the growth and success of St. Mary’s School.

Contributions to the Endowment can be sent to St. Mary’s Parish or School. If you would like to speak to someone to learn more about the St. Mary’s School Endowment, contact the St. Mary’s Parish office at 616-842-1702 and someone will reach out to you.

Race for Education

CYCLONES RACE FOR EDUCATION 2024  – WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!
We surpassed our $35,000 goal!

St. Mary’s School Race for Education is an annual event that we look forward to each year! Students and staff run or walk laps around a designated area of our school campus for 1 hour. Students have traditionally collected sponsor donations for their efforts from family near and far, neighbors, and friends.

Family and friends are encouraged to come walk or cheer on students. We’ll have water stations, first aid stations, and plenty of volunteers ensuring a safe route for all participants.

There are two ways students choose to engage their sponsors for our Race for Education fundraising efforts:

  1. Handwritten letters from each student. Names with addresses will be provided, and Race for Education sponsorship request forms are mailed to those recipients.
  2. Web-based fundraising system that makes it easy for family and friends to pledge. An electronic sponsor invitation will be sent via email or text, and donors may submit secure credit card donations online (credit card, PayPal, or Venmo).

We will always accept cash or check donations in the school office (check made out and mailed or delivered to St. Mary’s School at 430 E. Savidge Street, Spring Lake, Michigan 49456)

If you’d like to donate now, scan the QR code and donate online
(be sure to let us know the name of the student you are sponsoring in he notes)

Become a Race Day Sponsor!  YOUR NAME OR BUSINESS can be added to the back of our race day t-shirts! Each year, we provide the students and staff with a CYCLONES Race for Education t-shirt, which are typically sponsored by several of our St. Mary’s School families, neighbors, friends and a few businesses. CYCLONE LEVEL, FOOTPRINT LEVEL, OR FAMILY LEVEL SPONSORSHIPS.

A BIG St. Mary’s THANK YOU to our 2024 t-shirt sponsors shown below!
